Transforming Lives
Together, we believe we can make a transformative impact on the financial well-being in our community
Together, we believe we can make a transformative impact on the financial well-being in our community
MatriTrust was originally founded to address the lack of a supportive network for Indigenous women, girls, and 2SLGBTQ+ individuals interested in learning about trading and investing. However, through further research and community engagement, we realized that our mission extends beyond financial education. We also aim to address the emotional trauma tied to money.
At MatriTrust, we are committed to blending traditional Indigenous knowledge with modern financial strategies, empowering our communities to reclaim their financial power. By providing education and resources, we enable Indigenous women, girls, and 2SLGBTQ+ individuals to build financial literacy, engage confidently with economic systems, and achieve economic independence.
Most importantly, we prioritize emotional healing, helping participants overcome the negative emotions surrounding money and break the cycle of financial trauma, a trauma that is unque to indigenous peoples.
